TORONTO, ONTARIO, November 22nd 2019 — In mid-October, Cyber724 attended the Datta Connectors Conference in Toronto where Mr. Chris Lynam from the RCMP delivered the keynote address.
Mr. Lynam briefed the audience on a new cyber security unit within the RCMP which he serves as Director General of; the unit is called the National Cybercrime Coordination Unit (NC3).
This illuminating briefing provided an insider’s perspective on the changing nature of cyber crime, as well as the steps which government, police and private enterprises are taking to counter this threat. Building on Cyber724’s participation in the Canadian Forces Cyber Reserve Force Workshop; we sought to consolidate some of the key points from Mr. Lynam’s address for our clients and partners to review.
